You may like to attend a course about Christianity. The most famous one is the Alpha Course. They are run by many churches. Take a look here to see when the next one is running near you.
Other courses are available, eg Christianity Explored. Take a look here for one near you.
You don't have to go on a course: go along to your local church (whether ABC or not) and talk to the Christians there. If you've not been to a church service before, or haven't been for a while (other than for christenings, weddings or funerals), ask someone you know who goes to church if you could go with them. They'll be delighted.
If you do turn up on you own, explain to the person welcoming you at the door that you're new to church and ask if someone can help you. Don't worry about not knowing what to do or what to say.
