Our Vision Is Jesus

Welcome

Margaret and I are really pleased that you are taking a few moments to visit our church website. We do hope that you will find it helpful and informative.

On Sunday July 18 this year, we as a church community celebrated our Jubilee year. We had a great day together! And yes, it means that the building and congregation have been around for fifty years.

Memory helps form identity – where we have come from, who we are and where we are going. For the Christian church, the greatest memory of all provides identity for all that we believe, all that we are and all that we hope for. This memory is to found in the person of Jesus Christ, his death on the cross and resurrection from the dead.

This memory, belonging to the first generation church (almost 2000 years ago), continuing in the New Testament Scriptures, along with the teaching of the church through the centuries to the present day has never changed. The outward form may change but the message itself remains the same forever:

'that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.' (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

The confident and certain hope that all Christians now have is that one day they will see Jesus. Until that day we are called to proclaim and live out the story, the memory. It has eternal consequences for all who believe.

We would love to see you at one of our Sunday services. Please come and make yourself known to us and may we be among the first to say 'welcome' and to help you feel at home.
