The story of a humorous mistake at the
printers made the national media

Acomb Parish Assistant Curate, Rev Ned Lunn, had ordered four replacement ‘Christ is Risen’ signs for the Acomb Churches to display on Easter Sunday morning.
Unfortunately, a typo meant a ‘t’ was missing from one of the banners meaning it read ‘Chris is risen’. All the more pertinent as our minister’s name is Chris.
The error was spotted before delivery and a replacement made.
Having been posted on BBC Radio York’s Facebook page on Good Friday it was reported in many daily newspapers yesterday.
